Sometimes I do take a moment and cast my mind back to major ‘turning points’ in my life and imagine what could have happened if I had made different choices. This is not a way to regret but rather to recognise the power I hold through making conscious choices.

January ‘08 was another remarkable ‘turning point’ in my life… I had a crystal-clear vision that involved a dinner party, where a group of profoundly individual people came together to eat and drink, laugh and share their unique perspectives about living, loving and language. This image planted a seed in my consciousness that eventually sprouted the idea to create InJoy Magazine and privilege our community, and the visitors to our region, with profound conversations that flow through our region.

The experience I gathered from being solely responsible for producing 4 editions of the Here & Now magazine early in 2000, when it’s creator, Nighranta went overseas, imbedded a confidence deep within me, something that I had not been aware of until I drew from it while taking those first steps to manifest InJoy.

The Here & Now Magazine was a much-loved publication that was bought and then sold, and replaced by the very beautiful but short-lived Be Magazine. After that years passed and no other local community magazine filled the space that these previous publications so beautifully did.

‘Twas during the last year of studies at Southern Cross University that I took the plunge and began InJoy Magazine, first launched in July 2008… and YES this is the 2nd birthday edition!!

During the first few issues I had to push my way though the fears and across all the hurdles, then I began to feel the flow, and after that the synchronicity and manifestations have continued to be quite magical.

InJoy Magazine has become a beautifully recognised community voice that is integrally committed to the positive nature of people and places. So often I am told that people really do love InJoy – emails, cards from visitors after they return home, phone calls and divine hugs on the streets… this truly inspires and motivates me and I thank you all.

Most importantly, a BIG thank you to all the wonderful advertisers who enrich our community spirit through making InJoy Magazine possible. Please remember how vital it is to shop locally and support local businesses who serve the hub of our community and sustain the life force that flows through our towns and villages.

Gratitude to contributors past, present and future, who have found the courage and time to share their voices. We are blessed by the people who walk their talk, speak their truth, live their dreams and go beyond that which holds humanity back from living love and loving life—this is the way in the Bay and at the end of the day it really is the simple things that matter because… In two days from now, tomorrow will be yesterday.

with love, Bhadrena

Music is the wine which inspires one to new generative processes, and I am Bacchus who presses out this glorious wine for mankind and makes them spiritually drunken.
